Have you ever played a mash-up of "Tetris" and "Galaga"? (Well, "Tetris" and "Warning Forever" actually.) Have you ever helped a video game guy escape a mansion not by moving the guy but by moving the rooms in the mansion? Have you ever played not one but two games that sound like they were named after chapters of a math text book and enjoyed them?

All such games were available at the Game Developer's Conference's Independent Games Festival Student Showcase last week. And I liked them all.

I was really impressed with the quality of the student games and decided to give the young 'uns some plugs in my MTV column today. Hit that link and check out the games I wrote about. They're all worth a download and play.
