I write a piece about how I don't like DS games that force me to blow into the system's mic. Joe Gamer tells me what he thinks of MTV complaining about this kind of thing:
"These people love hip hop, can we really trust their opinions on what sucks and what doesn't?" -- commenter on Joystiq.com.
And....
"This guy's from MTV. He should be used to blowing." -- another guy commenting on Joystiq.
Good one! Any more?
"Is Stephen Totilo tubby?" -- yet another Joystiq comment guy.
"You have to be stupid to be embarrassed by something as silly as blowing on a DS." -- another Joystiq commenter, but one who was using the general "you," right? Maybe?
A few days pass. I write the story everyone else is also writing about the new details on "GTA IV". I add one ingredient: my concern for the fine folks in the Wu Tang Clan regarding the omission of Staten Island from Liberty City. Joystiq pops in again and the people speak up:
"Wu-p tee doo!"
Oh they said more, turning their comments toward the Island of Staten. And then they start quoting Wu-Tang lyrics. I was saved by a Wu-distraction.
