MTV Multiplayer: Let's talk about pirates

Everyone likes pirates, so why are there so few beloved pirate games? There's "Pirates!" And there's "Puzzle Pirates." And? Well, there's a fantastic pirate mission in "Sly 3." Maybe some of those airship sci-fi or fantasy pirates in Japanese RPG's count? Or is that just scraping the bottom of the rum barrel? Whatever the case, my Multiplayer entry for Thursday was about a demo I got of "Pirates of the Burning Sea," an MMO that appears to be getting all the basics right and even lets you "win" a peg leg.
