Last week, a floor up from the Chelsea Art Museum's "Dangerous Beauty" exhibit -- which included a straight jacket made of acrylic fingernails -- I attended the opening night for an art exhibit called "The Sims: In the Hands of Artists." In my GameFile column this week I provide a report of the literally heated event. And I've got pictures. A bunch of them! So click through and find out what kind of pieces New York art students make when they're asked to create work inspired by a video game.
You'll see and read about Sims sculptures and paintings, projections of Sims with jellyfish and simulations of Sims receiving electric shocks. What kind of art can video games inspire? It's a broad range. Click above for details and photos.
