  You know, as someone who; started the old ceremony of playing since MP1 on the N64, back in college with kids who smoked out of crushed up coke cans with holes in em', while i drank my face off in Pabst and JD, I'm a little sad for your experience with the game, and that is saying alot.
  
  As someone who owns every marioparty on the cube and regularly has marioparties, where I send out evites that include my dog preparing to steal your coins and stars, I'm kinda sad with your review.
  
  That you've never experienced a bunch of idiots mashing controllers and drinking; tossing up annoy mode comments when your trying to take your turn (trust me daisy is the most annoying of all); buying a ride on a chain chomp to rob your friends of stars.while saying you're sorry; played any mic minigames with a non working mic; after years develop enough stars from like 2004 to finally buy a new board in mp4, or buying all the secret minigames and characters after redonculous hours playing 50 round turns with friends.
  
  what i am trying to get to, as a NEWB, I'm sure it does look like a mini game collection, but mario party reinvented the bored game for me,  I'm a product of pop culture, I have no attention span, but put some mario characters in front of me, 4 friends, jack daniels and I'm set  till 4 in the morning and it will be rowdy till the end (and boom I'm 12 years old staying up all night playing ninja turtles 2 all night).  I started mario party with the last sane president and it's carried me through the waste that's in office now, I'd like to be as bold to say, if it weren't for mario party I might have grown up, but I don't wanna grow up in a time when drinks are 10 bucks a  piece, movies are the same or more, and we've been at war for like, well since mario party 5.
  
  I'll take any new editions, they could have done mp8 without motion control for all i care that's not the point, its new boards, "new games," a new character or 2 and I'm set.  Give me some franchise love, and I'll toss my copies of rayman, warioware, wii play, and monkey ball (o and not to mention: every other "party" rip off there has been for every console).  Cause none of those minigame collections can hold a candle to any of the mario party series, if you have some friends you wanna play with, no body does it better.
  
  wait except the gba mario party that just sucks, give me a ds version.
  
  and give me your copy of mp8 so i can play it till my reserve copy comes, since i've had it on reserve since january, and wanted it since 06, you see how us fanboys could get alittle crazy.

  It's just not that case.
  Why do gamers take such offence to an expanded market? Would your typical movie buff be afraid by seeing smaller shorts,or movies made for kids? I don't see that type of reaction,but for some reason a lot of gamers take gaming so personally that they see normal expansion of the market for what it is.
